Prepare the Sausages and Vegetables
- Slice the smoked sausage into thin pieces.
- Chop the medium-sized onion and green onions (if using).
- Chop the red pepper into small pieces.

Cook the Sausages and Vegetables
- In a large pan, fry the sliced sausage until slightly crispy.
- Add the chopped onions (both regular and green onions) to the pan and cook together for a few minutes until the onions soften.
- Add the chopped red pepper and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables gain some color.

Add Rice and Tomato Juice
- Add the well-washed rice to the pan and stir for a few minutes to combine with the sausage and vegetables.
- Pour in the cup of tomato juice and cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the rice to absorb the flavors.

Add Chicken Soup and Seasonings
- Add a bay leaf to the pan.
- Gradually pour in the chicken soup, using the same can you measured the rice with. You’ll need about 4 cans of chicken soup or enough liquid to cover the rice.
- Season with salt to taste and cover the pan with a lid.
- Cook over medium heat until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender (about 20-30 minutes).

Finish and Serve
- Once the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed, grate 50 grams of Parmesan cheese and stir it into the pilaf for extra creaminess.
- Garnish with fresh chopped dill.
