  1. Prepare the Beef
    1. Season the beef chunks with salt, pepper, and your choice of spices for meat.
    2. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to a well-heated pan and cook the beef until browned on all sides. Once browned, remove the beef and set it aside.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables
    1. In the same pan with the leftover oil, add the carrots, zucchini (or peppers), and 2 finely chopped onions. Cook for a few minutes.
    2. Add a little water to the pan, stir, and allow the vegetables to soak.
  3. Combine Meat and Vegetables
    1. Add the beef back into the pan with the vegetables.
    2. Add 1 minced garlic clove, 1 sprig of rosemary, and 1 bay leaf.
    3. Pour enough water to cover the ingredients. Season with salt.
    4. Let the stew simmer on low heat for about 1 hour.
  4. Prepare the Rice
    1. In a separate pot, add 1 cup of rice and 1 ½ cups of water.
    2. Season with salt and add a pinch of turmeric (for color).
    3. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and bring to a boil.
    4. Once boiling, reduce the heat and cover the pot. Let it simmer on low heat until the rice is cooked (around 15-20 minutes).
  5. Finish the Stew
    1. Grate 2 tomatoes and add them to the stew.
    2. Stir in 1 tablespoon of spicy paprika (optional), and let the stew cook for an additional 10 minutes.
