  1. Prepare the Semolina

    • Place the semolina in a bowl.
    • Pour over the hot water.
    • Stir well and leave to hydrate while preparing the remaining ingredients.
  1. Activate the Yeast

    • In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar.
    • Mix until the yeast dissolves completely.
  1. Make the Dough

    • Gradually add the flour to the yeast mixture.
    • Add the hydrated semolina (make sure it is warm, not hot).
    • Add the salt, vanilla extract, and egg.
    • Begin kneading until a dough starts to form.
  1. Incorporate the Butter

    • Add the softened butter gradually while kneading.
    • Continue kneading for about 10 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and no longer sticky.
  1. Let the Dough Rise

    • Lightly dust the dough with flour.
    • Cover and leave it to rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  1. Shape the Rolls

    • Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.
    • Roll each piece into a round shape.
