Prepare the Semolina
- Place the semolina in a bowl.
- Pour over the hot water.
- Stir well and leave to hydrate while preparing the remaining ingredients.

Activate the Yeast
- In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and sugar.
- Mix until the yeast dissolves completely.

Make the Dough
- Gradually add the flour to the yeast mixture.
- Add the hydrated semolina (make sure it is warm, not hot).
- Add the salt, vanilla extract, and egg.
- Begin kneading until a dough starts to form.

Incorporate the Butter
- Add the softened butter gradually while kneading.
- Continue kneading for about 10 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and no longer sticky.

Let the Dough Rise
- Lightly dust the dough with flour.
- Cover and leave it to rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Shape the Rolls
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces.
- Roll each piece into a round shape.
- Place a spoonful of jam near the edge of each piece.
- Seal well and roll up as shown, forming crescent-shaped rolls.

- Place the rolls on a baking tray.
- Brush generously with beaten egg.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) until golden brown.
