  2. Add the Kefir:
      • Pour 1 cup of kefir (or yogurt) into the mixture and mix well.
  3. Incorporate the Dry Ingredients:
      • Sift 2 cups of flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder into the wet mixture, and stir well to incorporate.
  4. Prepare the Tray:
      • Grease a 25x35 cm oven-safe tray with a bit of butter.
      • Pour the batter into the tray and spread it evenly.
  5. Add the Cherries:
      • Arrange a layer of pitted sour cherries on top of the batter, adding a few extra cherries for decoration.
  6. Bake the Cake:
      • Place the tray in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) and bake until a toothpick comes out clean, about 30-40 minutes.
