Cook the Beans
- In a large pot, add the washed beans and fill three-quarters of the pot with water.
- Add the whole scored onion, 2 carrots, bay leaf, rosemary sprigs, and salt.
- Boil until the beans are soft, then drain, keeping some of the cooking water.

Prepare the Onion Base
- In a well-heated pan, add a generous amount of oil.
- Add the 2 finely chopped onions and a bay leaf.
- Sauté over low heat until the onions become golden brown.

Prepare the Garlic Sauce
- In a small bowl, add the grated garlic, a pinch of salt, and rub well with oil.
- Add a little water and mix in the dill for extra flavor.

Combine Everything
- When the onions turn golden, add 100 ml of broth.
- Stir in the boiled beans and add some of the reserved cooking water.
- Let everything simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
• Serve hot with fresh parsley or dill, alongside pickles or hot peppers. • Enjoy with bread or polenta for a complete meal!
