  1. Prepare the Pan:
    • Grease a 25 cm baking tray with butter and set aside.
    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Make the Wet Mixture:
    1. In a large bowl, crack in 4 large eggs.
    2. Add ½ tsp salt, 100 g sugar, 5–6 tbsp yogurt, and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
    3. Mix well using a whisk or hand mixer until smooth and frothy.
  3. Prepare and Add Dry Ingredients:
    1. In another bowl, combine:
      • 160 g semolina
      • 160 g cake flour
      • 1 tsp baking powder
    2. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture in two batches, mixing thoroughly each time to avoid lumps.
    3. Optionally, gently fold in 2–3 tbsp sweet cheese without overmixing.
  4. Bake:
    • Pour the batter into the prepared tray.
    • Bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for 40 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  5. Serve:
    • Let it cool slightly, or serve warm with sour cream and jam.
    • Optional: dust with powdered sugar before serving.
