Prepare the Banana Base

- In a large bowl or plate, mash the ripe bananas well with a fork.
- Add a pinch of salt, the 3 eggs, and vanilla essence.
- Mix everything together until smooth.

Incorporate Butter

- Add 100 g softened butter to the banana mixture.
- Mix well until fully combined.

Mix the Dry Ingredients

- In a separate bowl, combine:
- 150 g flour
- 40 g cocoa powder
- ½ tbsp baking powder
- Stir to blend evenly.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures

- Add 120 g sugar to the banana-egg-butter mixture.
- Gradually add the dry flour mixture.
- Add 50 ml boiling water and 1 tbsp sour cream.
- Stir until a smooth batter forms with no lumps.

Add Chocolate

- Fold in ¾ of the chopped dark chocolate using a spatula.

Pour & Assemble

- Pour the batter into a greased or lined cake tray.
- Add a few teaspoons of chocolate cream into the center if using.
- Sprinkle the remaining chocolate pieces on top.

- Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
