  1. Cut the smoked sausage into small sticks. In a large pot, fry the sausage until it gets some color.
  2. Chop the onion, leek, and red bell pepper. Add them to the pot with the sausage and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Peel and dice the potatoes. Add them to the pot along with the sausage. Pour in about 2 liters of water.
  4. Remembering to add the carrot and celery, peel and chop them into small pieces. Add them to the pot as well.
  5. Bring the soup to a boil and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Towards the end of cooking, add 3-4 tablespoons of tomato juice and season with salt and pepper to taste. You can also add some sour cream according to your preference.
  7. Once the soup is ready, garnish it with plenty of chopped parsley and lovage.
