Instructions
-
Prepare the Salmon
- Season the salmon pieces with salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- In a well-heated frying pan, add 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil and place the seasoned salmon pieces skin-side down.
- Let the salmon cook, turning it halfway through, until it is golden brown on both sides and fully cooked.
-
Prepare the Potatoes
- Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
- Boil the potatoes in water with a pinch of salt until they are tender and easily pierced with a fork.
- Once boiled, peel the potatoes (if needed) and cut them into thin slices.
-
Assemble the Baked Potatoes
- In a baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, seasoning each layer with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Add a few spoonfuls of sour cream on top of the potatoes, then sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over each layer.
- Repeat the layering process until all the ingredients are used up.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven at 200°C (390°F) for about 40 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and crispy on top.
-
Make the Sweet and Sour Sauce
- In the same pan where you cooked the salmon, add 3-4 minced garlic cloves and a bit of butter.
- Once the garlic is fragrant, add soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of honey, and the juice of 1 lemon.
- Stir everything together and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Serve
- Serve the crispy baked potatoes alongside the salmon, drizzled with the sweet and sour sauce.
