  1. Prepare the Nutmeg:
      • In a baking tray, place 1 nutmeg and bake it at 200°C (392°F) for 2-3 minutes to release its aroma.
  2. Mix Sugar and Lemon Zest:
      • In a bowl, combine ½ cup of sugar with the zest of 1 lemon and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Batter:
      • In a large bowl, whisk together 5 eggs, 1 cup of oil, 1 cup of yogurt, and the sugar mixed with lemon zest.
      • Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence and mix well.
      • Gradually incorporate 2 cups of flour and 2 teaspoons of baking powder, stirring until smooth.
  4. Prepare the Cocoa Batter:
      • Divide the batter in half.
      • To one half, add 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder and 3 teaspoons of milk, mixing well to remove any lumps.
  5. Prepare the Tray:
      • Grease a 25 cm diameter tray with butter.
      • Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of sugar over the buttered tray.
      • Arrange pitted plums on the tray, spreading them evenly.
  6. Bake:
      • Pour the two batters in layers over the plums, alternating as you wish.
      • Place the tray in the preheated oven at 165°C (329°F).
      • Bake until the toothpick test passes, around 30-40 minutes.
