Oven-Baked Lemon Fish with Garlic Sauce & Buttered Vegetables
Ingredients
For the fish:

fillets of fish (any white fish like cod, sea bass, or tilapia)
½
lemon, sliced

tablespoons olive oil
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)

teaspoons granulated garlic

teaspoons sweet paprika
Juice of ½ lemon

teaspoons oregano
½
teaspoons dried chili flakes (optional)
For the garlic sauce:

cloves garlic, minced
Salt (to taste)

tablespoon olive oil
Juice of ½ lemon

tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
½
teaspoons dried chili flakes (optional)
For the buttered vegetables:
1
cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, broccoli, etc.)

tablespoon butter
Salt (to taste)
Black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
For the garlic sauce:
Prepare the fish:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
In an ovenproof tray, drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Place the fish fillets in the tray and season with salt, black pepper, granulated garlic, sweet paprika, and oregano.
Squeeze the juice of ½ lemon over the fish and mix everything well.
Place a few lemon slices under the fish and a few on top.
Sprinkle dried chili flakes if using.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Prepare the garlic sauce:
In a bowl, mix the minced garlic with salt and 1 tablespoon of olive oil until creamy.
Add lemon juice, chopped parsley, and dried chili flakes. Mix well and set aside.
Baste the fish:
After 20 minutes of baking, remove the fish from the oven and baste it with its own juices.
Return it to the oven for the remaining 10 minutes.
Prepare the buttered vegetables:
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan.
Add the mixed vegetables and sauté for 10 minutes.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Serve & enjoy:
Serve the fish hot with buttered vegetables on the side.
Drizzle with the garlic sauce for extra flavor.
