  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    1. Cut the chicken breasts into cubes.
    2. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano.
    3. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and mix well to coat.
    4. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked.
    5. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Vegetables:
    1. In the same pan, add another 1–2 tbsp oil.
    2. Sauté the chopped onion and diced or grated carrot for 2–3 minutes, until slightly softened.
  3. Cook the Pilaf:
    1. Add the rinsed rice to the vegetables and stir for a minute.
    2. Pour in 4 cups of water and add a pinch of salt.
    3. Cover with a lid and reduce the heat to low.
    4. Simmer until the rice absorbs the liquid (about 15–20 minutes).
  4. Finish the Dish:
    1. Once the rice is nearly done, add the cooked chicken back to the pan.
    2. Stir gently and let simmer for another 10 minutes on low heat to let the flavors combine.
