Juicy & Saucy Baked Chicken Drumsticks

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
      • In a small bowl, mix salt, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, chili flakes, and black pepper.
      • Take 1 tbsp of the seasoning and rub it all over the chicken drumsticks, massaging it well.
  2. Coat & Fry the Chicken:
      • Mix the remaining seasoning with 90g flour in a bowl.
      • Heat 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
      • Dredge each drumstick in the seasoned flour, then fry for 4-5 minutes on one side.
      • Flip the drumsticks and cook for another 2 minutes.
      • Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
      • In the same pan, add chopped onion, garlic, and chili flakes.
      • Cook for 2 minutes over medium heat.
      • Add 1 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp of the remaining seasoned flour, stirring for 1-2 minutes.
      • Pour in 400ml chicken broth and 70g double cream, mixing until smooth.
  4. Bake the Chicken:
      • Return the chicken drumsticks to the pan, coating them with the sauce.
      • Cover with foil and bake at 200°C (400°F) for 1 hour.
  5. Garnish & Serve:
      • Optionally, sprinkle fresh parsley for extra flavor.
