Faguri – Traditional Honeycomb Cookies with Chocolate Filling

Ingredients
    For the Dough:
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 70 grams sugar
  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • 100 milliliters melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 10 grams baking powder
  • 300 grams flour
  • 100 milliliters milk
  • For the Filling:
  • Chocolate cream (or walnut cream, pudding, or any preferred filling)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Dough:
    1. In a large bowl, crack 4 eggs and add 70 g sugar and ½ tsp salt.
    2. Pour in 100 ml melted butter and vanilla essence, then mix well.
    3. Add 10 g baking powder, 300 g flour, and 100 ml milk.
    4. Mix until you get a smooth, slightly thick batter.
  2. Cook the Faguri:
    1. Preheat an electric waffle maker or a traditional mold.
      • If using a classic mold, grease it with oil before cooking.
    2. Drop small spoonfuls of batter into each mold cavity.
    3. Cook for a few minutes until golden brown.
    4. Remove the cookies with a fork and place them on a plate.
    5. Repeat until all the batter is used.
  3. Assemble the Faguri:
    1. Once cooled, fill each cookie with chocolate cream, walnut cream, or pudding.
    2. Gently press two cookies together to create a sandwich.
