Colorful Rainbow Easter Eggs

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Eggs:
      • Take 4 eggs (one with marrow skin) and wash them well in soapy water.
      • Boil the eggs in cold water for about 8 minutes for hard-boiled eggs. (For softer eggs, boil a bit longer).
      • Once the eggs are done, transfer them to cold water and let them sit for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the Dye:
      • While the eggs are cooling, prepare your work area with old towels or cloth, as the dye can be strong.
      • Use 4 containers (one for each color) and add 1 tablespoon of vinegar to each.
      • Pour in hot water (make sure the water is hot for the color to stick properly).
      • Add food coloring (red, orange, blue, and green) to each container, stirring carefully.
  3. Dye the Eggs:
      • Take each egg, while still wet, and wrap it in a paper towel.
      • Place each egg in the respective color container for 20 minutes.
      • Use a toothpick with cotton wool on the ends to carefully handle the eggs to avoid touching the dye with your fingers.
  4. Finish and Serve:
      • After 20 minutes, remove the eggs from the containers and let them dry.
      • Leave a comment and tell if you prefer colored eggs or red ones!
