Instructions

  1. Prepare and Season the Chicken Wings
    1. Wash and clean the chicken wings thoroughly.
    2. Season the wings with salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, and a little olive oil.
    3. Fry the wings in a hot pan, turning them until golden brown on both sides. Remove them from the pan and set them aside.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Sauce
    1. Grate 2 garlic cloves and place them in a large bowl.
    2. Add a pinch of salt and mash the garlic with a teaspoon (or use a pestle and mortar if available).
    3. Add 3 tablespoons sour cream to the mashed garlic and mix well. Set the sauce aside for later.
  3. Make the Onion Sauce
    1. Chop 3 large onions and finely chop the remaining 3 garlic cloves.
    2. In the same pan where you fried the wings, add the chopped onions and garlic.
    3. Add a bay leaf, 1 tablespoon tomato paste (or broth), and 1 cup of water.
    4. Season with salt to taste and stir everything together.
    5. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, letting the onions cook down into a flavorful sauce.
  4. Combine and Serve
    1. Return the fried chicken wings to the pan with the onion sauce, stirring to coat the wings in the sauce.
    2. Let the wings simmer in the sauce for a few minutes until heated through and the flavors combine.
    3. Serve the wings with the prepared garlic sauce and drizzle with hot sauce (optional) for an extra kick.
