Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough:
      • In a large bowl, combine 100 ml water, 100 ml hot milk, 60 ml olive oil, and 10 g dry yeast. Mix well.
      • Add 420 g bread flour and 1 teaspoon salt to the bowl. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and no longer sticky.
      • Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size.
  2. Prepare the filling:
      • Chop 3 green peppers and 1 red bell pepper into small cubes.
      • Grate 100 g cheddar cheese or use mozzarella.
      • Chop salami (or any available deli meat) into cubes. You can also add olives to taste.
  3. Shape the buns:
      • Once the dough has risen, place it on the work surface and cut it in half to make it easier to handle.
      • Roll each half into a rectangular shape using a rolling pin.
      • Sprinkle the dough with cheese, green peppers, red peppers, salami, and any other fillings you have.
      • Roll the dough tightly like a log and seal the ends.
      • Cut the rolled dough into 2 cm wide slices.
  4. Prepare the buns for baking:
      • Place the sliced buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
      • Press each piece lightly with your palm to ensure the filling stays in place.
      • Cover with plastic wrap and let them rise for another 20 minutes.
  5. Egg wash:
      • In a small bowl, whisk together 1-2 egg yolks and 2 tablespoons milk.
      • Brush the egg mixture over the buns.
  6. Bake:
      • Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
      • Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
  7. Serve:
      • Once baked, remove the buns from the oven, let them cool slightly, and enjoy!
These Fluffy Pizza Buns are the perfect snack for any occasion, ideal for lunchboxes, or just a delicious treat to share with family and friends. Enjoy!
