- Add one glass of barley to the pan.
- Pour in two glasses of water or broth, following the 2:1 liquid-to-barley ratio.
- Stir and let it simmer, absorbing all the flavors.

- Add more water if needed and let everything simmer until the barley is fully cooked and creamy.
