Walnut and Yogurt Cake

Ingredients
  • 1 glass of yogurt (approximately 350 ml)
  • 1.5 glass of sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1.5 glass of oil
  • 5 eggs
  • 12 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 glass of chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon of butter (for greasing))
  • Apricot jam ((or preferred jam) for glazing)
Instructions
    A super delicious cake with walnuts and yogurt. The best part is that you don't need a scale. It's very easy to make, with just a few ingredients. And the result... Mmm! You'll be amazed! Let's get down to business.
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, sugar, vanilla extract, and oil. Mix well.
  3. Add the eggs to the mixture, one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
  4. Gradually incorporate the flour and baking powder into the mixture, stirring until smooth.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Grease an ovenproof tray with butter, ensuring it's evenly coated.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared tray and spread it out evenly.
  8. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  10. While the cake is still warm, spread a layer of apricot jam over the top.
  11. Sprinkle additional chopped walnuts over the jam for garnish.
  12. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving
