Ultimate Moist Chocolate Banana Cake | Tort de banane cu ciocolată și umiditate supremă
A delicious way to use up ripe bananas — rich, chocolatey, and irresistibly fluffy!
Ingredients

large ripe bananas (or 3 small), mashed
3
large eggs
1
teaspoon vanilla essence
100
grams butter (room temperature)
120
grams sugar
150
grams all-purpose flour
40
grams cocoa powder
½
tablespoons baking powder
1
pinch of salt
50
milliliters boiling water
1
tablespoon sour cream
Dark chocolate (chopped or flakes, ~75–100 g)
Optional: a few teaspoons of chocolate cream (for center filling)
Instructions
Prepare the Banana Base
In a large bowl or plate, mash the ripe bananas well with a fork.
Add a pinch of salt, the 3 eggs, and
vanilla essence
.
Mix everything together until smooth.
Incorporate Butter
Add
100 g softened butter
to the banana mixture.
Mix well until fully combined.
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, combine:
150 g flour
40 g cocoa powder
½ tbsp baking powder
Stir to blend evenly.
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Add
120 g sugar
to the banana-egg-butter mixture.
Gradually add the dry flour mixture.
Add
50 ml boiling water
and
1 tbsp sour cream
.
Stir until a smooth batter forms with no lumps.
Add Chocolate
Fold in
¾ of the chopped dark chocolate
using a spatula.
Pour & Assemble
Pour the batter into a greased or lined
cake tray
.
Add a few
teaspoons of chocolate cream
into the center if using.
Sprinkle the remaining
chocolate pieces
on top.
Bake
Bake in a
preheated oven at 160°C (320°F)
for
60 minutes
or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
Serve
Let cool slightly before slicing. Enjoy warm or at room temperature!
This cake is perfect with a glass of milk or coffee — and it freezes well too!
