Ingredients
    For the Garlic Yogurt Sauce:
  • 2 cloves garlic (grated)
  • 200 grams Greek yogurt
  • A pinch of salt
  • For the Paprika Mixture:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon paprika (sweet or spicy)
  • For the Meat Filling:
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 400 grams minced meat (your choice of meat)
  • 3 shallots (finely chopped) or 1 regular onion
  • 2 cloves garlic (crushed and finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Garlic Yogurt Sauce
    1. In a bowl, combine 200 grams of Greek yogurt with the grated 2 cloves of garlic.
    2. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and mix everything very well.
    3. Set the sauce aside to use later.
  2. Prepare the Paprika Mixture
    1. In a well-heated pan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
    2. Add 1 tablespoon of paprika (sweet or spicy, depending on your preference) to the butter and stir to combine.
    3. Transfer this mixture into a bowl and set aside.
  3. Cook the Meat Filling
    1. In the same pan, add 3 tablespoons of olive oil and heat.
    2. Add 400 grams of minced meat and fry it, breaking it apart as it cooks.
    3. Add the finely chopped shallots (or onion), crushed garlic, and sauté until everything changes color and softens.
    4. Add the diced tomatoes to the pan and season with salt, sweet paprika, cumin, and pepper. Stir everything together and cook until the mixture is well combined and the tomatoes soften.
  4. Assemble the Turkish Pastries
    1. Once the meat filling is ready, you can use it as a filling for pastry dough (such as phyllo dough or a pastry dough of your choice).
    2. Fill each pastry with the meat mixture and bake according to the instructions for the dough you are using.
  5. Serve
    1. Once the pastries are baked, serve them hot with the garlic yogurt sauce drizzled on top or served on the side.
