A rustic, eggless, no-mixer dessert layered with grated apples, nuts, and buttery crumbs – so simple, it's all measured with one glass!
Wash, peel, and grate the apples using a large-hole grater. Set aside.
Using a 400 ml glass, measure:
1 glass semolina
1 glass flour
½ glass sugar
Combine these in a large bowl and mix well with a spoon. Then divide the mixture into 3 equal parts (you can re-use the glass to portion it).
Use a round baking tin, approximately 25 cm in diameter. Grease it well with a little butter.
Start with a layer of the dry mixture.
Add a third of the grated apples evenly on top.
Sprinkle some chopped walnuts, cinnamon (if using), and a few small bits of butter.
Repeat the layers: dry mix → apples → nuts → butter — until all ingredients are used.
The final layer should be grated apples.
