Quick and Easy Salami & Cheese Puff Pastry Triangles

Ingredients
  • Puff pastry sheet (1 sheet, cut into 6 equal squares)
  • Tomato paste (enough to spread on each square)
  • Mozzarella cheese (or substitute with cheddar or other cheese), shredded or sliced generously
  • Salami slices, cut into strips
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped
Instructions
  1. Prepare the puff pastry:
      • Cut the puff pastry sheet into 6 equal squares.
      • Spread a thin layer of tomato paste over each square.
  2. Add the fillings:
      • Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese over each square.
      • Add strips of salami on top of the cheese.
  3. Form the triangles:
      • Fold each square into a triangle, sealing the edges tightly to prevent the cheese from leaking during baking.
      • Press the edges with a fork to secure and create a decorative pattern.
  4. Prepare the egg wash:
      • In a small bowl, mix the egg with the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
  5. Brush and bake:
      • Place the triangles on a baking tray.
      • Brush each triangle generously with the egg wash mixture.
      • Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
