Oven-Baked Spicy Chicken Wings with Garlic Parsley Sauce | Aripioare de pui picante la cuptor cu sos de usturoi și pătrunjel

Ingredients
    For the Chicken Wings:
  • 10-12 chicken wings
  • 2-3 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Sweet paprika (or spicy, to preference)
  • Garlic powder
  • Oregano (optional)
  • Baking paper
  • For the Garlic-Parsley Sauce (Mousseline style):
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, grated or crushed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 small hot pepper, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 2-3 tablespoons water
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Wings
      • Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F).
      • Line a heat-resistant tray with baking paper.
      • Place the chicken wings in the tray.
      • Drizzle with 2–3 tablespoons olive oil.
      • Season with salt, black pepper, sweet or spicy paprika, garlic powder, and oregano (or your preferred mix of spices).
      • Mix well to ensure the wings are fully coated in oil and spices.
  2. Bake
      • Arrange the wings evenly in the tray.
      • Cover with a second piece of lightly oiled baking paper.
      • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until golden and fully cooked.
  3. Prepare the Garlic-Parsley Sauce
      • In a bowl or mortar, combine the grated garlic, salt, and 1 tablespoon olive oil.
      • Mash into a paste using the back of a spoon or pestle.
      • Add the finely chopped hot pepper and parsley, then mix well.
      • Stir in a few tablespoons of water to loosen the sauce.
  4. Serve
      • Serve the hot chicken wings with the garlic-parsley sauce and optionally a side of sour cream or chamomile tea for contrast.
      • Enjoy warm!
