Meatballs in Sauce

Ingredients
  • 500 grams minced pork
  • 3 slices of bread
  • 80 grams Parmesan cheese
  • 1 whole egg
  • Fresh parsley
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Oil
  • For the sauce:
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 0.5 cup wine (or water)
  • 0.5 red bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 400 milliliters chicken broth
  • 1 cup cooking cream
  • Sun-dried tomatoes
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix the minced meat, soaked and drained bread slices, Parmesan cheese, whole egg, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on an oiled baking tray. Bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a well-heated frying pan, sauté the chopped onion and garlic in 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the wine (or water), chopped red bell pepper, and cook until they change color.
  3. Add the flour and cook for another 2 minutes. Gradually add the chicken broth and cooking cream, stirring continuously. Season with salt and black pepper, and let the sauce reduce.
  4. Add the sun-dried tomatoes and the meatballs taken out of the oven. Let them simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes.
  5. Serve the meatballs in hot sauce, alongside your preferred side dish. Enjoy your meal!
