Garlic Mousse (Mujdei de Usturoi)

Ingredients
  • 5 garlic cloves, peeled
  • Salt (to taste)
  • 4 tablespoons of oil (vegetable or sunflower oil)
  • 50 milliliters chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Garlic:
      • Peel the 5 garlic cloves and grate them into a large bowl. Alternatively, you can use a pestle and mortar or a garlic press for the garlic.
  2. Mix with Salt:
      • Add a generous amount of salt to the grated garlic.
  3. Incorporate the Oil:
      • Slowly add 3-4 tablespoons of oil into the garlic mixture, stirring constantly with a teaspoon until the oil is fully incorporated and the mixture becomes smooth.
  4. Add Chicken Broth:
      • Gradually pour in 50 ml of chicken broth, continuing to stir until the mixture reaches a smooth, milk-like consistency.
  5. Finish with Parsley:
      • Chop fresh parsley as finely as possible and add it to the mixture. Stir to combine the parsley with the garlic paste.
    Your garlic mousse is now ready to serve! It pairs wonderfully with meat, vegetables, and more. Enjoy!
