Fish pie, a super delicious English recipe

Servings 12
Ingredients
  • 600 grams salmon (any type of boneless fish)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon boya (sweet)
  • olive oil
  • 6 potatoes
  • water (for boiling potatoes)
  • 30 grams butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 200/250 milliliters milk
  • 1/2 juice of lemon
  • 100 grams cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • parsley
  • spinach
Instructions
  1. Season the salmon pieces with salt, black pepper, and sweet paprika. Fry them in a well-heated pan with a little olive oil until golden brown and cooked through. Remove them from the pan and set them aside.
  2. Put the diced potatoes in a pot with water and salt. Boil them until tender, then drain them and mash them well. Add some olive oil and salt to taste.
  3. In the same pan where you fried the salmon, melt 30 grams of butter. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and stir well until you get a paste. Let it fry for 1-2 minutes, then gradually add the milk, stirring continuously until you get a creamy sauce. Season with salt, lemon juice, black pepper, cheddar cheese, and mustard. Add chopped parsley and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. In an ovenproof dish, place the fried salmon pieces. Cover them with the prepared sauce, add the spinach leaves and mashed potatoes. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and place the dish in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  5. Serve the hot salmon fish pie and enjoy it with your loved ones.
