The simplest fasting cake recipe — just mix everything in one bowl and bake. Soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet, with a delicious cocoa and jam swirl inside.
In a large bowl, pour:
Mineral water
Oil
Sugar
Vanilla essence
Lemon zest
A pinch of salt
Mix well using a whisk until the sugar dissolves.
In a separate bowl, add:
Half of the flour (300 g)
Baking powder
Turmeric (optional)
Mix well to combine evenly.
Gradually add the dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
Add the remaining flour slowly.
Mix gently until smooth and lump-free.
Do not overmix.
Grease the baking pans with a little oil.
Pour half of the batter into the pans.
To the remaining batter, add:
Strawberry jam
Cocoa powder
Mix well.
Pour this cocoa mixture over the plain batter.
Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top for extra texture.
