Ingredients
  • 1 apple (peeled and grated)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon teaspoon cinnamon (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons oil (any neutral oil)
  • 3 yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 4 flour (adjust to get pancake-like consistency)
  • Milk (only if needed to thin the batter)
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar or maple syrup
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Apple
      • Peel the apple and grate it using the largest side of a box grater. Set aside.
  2. Make the Batter
      • In a mixing bowl, crack 1 egg.
      • Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and a little cinnamon.
      • Stir in yogurt, 2 tablespoons of oil, and vanilla extract.
      • Add the grated apple.
      • Mix in flour gradually until you reach a thick but spoonable consistency.
      • If the batter is too thick, add a splash of milk to loosen it.
  3. Cook the Puffs
      • Heat a small amount of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
      • Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the pan, forming small puffs.
      • Fry for 1–2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  4. Serve
      • Serve warm with powdered sugar or a drizzle of maple syrup.
      • Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a quick sweet snack.
