  • 5/6 chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 6 potatoes
  • 2/3 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • water
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • parsley (green)
Instructions
    If you're in a hurry and you don't know what to cook, welcome to my kitchen! Today we're going to make a delicious chicken with mashed potatoes, made in a single pan. Super delicious and so easy to make. Let's get down to business and I'll show you how it's done
  1. Season the Chicken:
    • Season the chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, and sweet paprika. Drizzle with olive oil and mix well. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • In a well-heated pan, add a cube of butter and two tablespoons of oil.
    • Once heated, add the seasoned chicken thighs to the pan and fry until they start to brown.
    • Flip the chicken thighs over and add a glass of water to the pan. Cover with a lid and let it simmer until cooked through
  3. Prepare the Vegetables:
    • Meanwhile, chop the onion finely and cut the carrots into larger pieces.
    • When the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pan and set it aside.
    • In the same pan with the remaining oil, add the chopped onion and carrots. Add another glass of water and let it boil for 2 minutes
  4. Cook the Potatoes:
    • Once the onion and carrots have softened slightly, add the cubed potatoes to the pan.
    • Season with salt, black pepper, and parsley.
    • Cover the pan with a lid and let the potatoes simmer until they are tender.
  5. Serve:
    • Once the potatoes are cooked, return the chicken thighs to the pan.
    • Serve the chicken with mashed potatoes and vegetables directly from the pan.
    • Garnish with additional parsley if desired
