For the Meat Layer:
- 500 grams minced meat
- 1/2 red onion (finely chopped)
- Fresh dill and parsley (diced, to taste)
- 50 grams parmesan cheese
- 2 slices of bread (soaked in milk and drained)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Potato Layer:
- A few medium-sized potatoes (sliced)
- Olive oil (for greasing the tray)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Sweet paprika (optional, for seasoning)
- 2 sprigs rosemary (for flavor)
For the Egg Mixture:
- 2 eggs
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Oregano (to taste)
- 50 milliliters cooking sour cream
- 1 clove cheddar cheese (grated)
- Prepare the Meat Mixture
- In a large bowl, combine 500 grams of minced meat with 1/2 finely chopped red onion, diced dill and parsley, and 50 grams of parmesan cheese.
- Soak 2 slices of bread in milk, then drain well and add to the bowl with the meat mixture.
- Season the meat mixture with salt, black pepper, and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix well to combine.
- Prepare the Baking Tray
- Grease a baking tray with 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil.
- Spread half of the finely chopped onion evenly across the bottom of the tray.
- Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Assemble the Dish
- Take the prepared meat mixture and spread it evenly over the surface of the tray.
- Season the meat layer with a little more salt, black pepper, and sweet paprika (optional).
- Place 2 sprigs of rosemary on top for added flavor.
- Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Bake the Meat
- Place the tray in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) and bake for about 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and browned.
- Prepare the Egg Mixture
- In a bowl, break 2 eggs and season with salt, black pepper, and oregano.
- Add 50 ml of cooking sour cream and 1 grated clove of cheddar cheese. Mix well.
- Layer the Potatoes
- Arrange the sliced potatoes on top of the baked meat layer.
- Pour the prepared egg mixture evenly over the potatoes.
- Final Bake
- Return the dish to the oven for another 10 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
