Golden, crispy, and incredibly juicy on the inside, this homemade fried chicken is even better than takeaway. Made with a simple marinade and a flavorful crust, it’s perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
For the Marinade:
2 eggs
300ml kefir
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
For the Chicken:
3 chicken breasts, cut into strips
For the Coating:
200g flour
Salt, to taste
Black pepper
Sweet paprika
Chicken seasoning (optional)
For Frying:
Oil (for deep or shallow frying)
Instructions

Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, add:
Eggs
Kefir
Salt
Black pepper
Mix well until combined.

Marinate the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into thin strips.
Add the chicken to the marinade.
Mix well to coat all pieces.
Cover and refrigerate:
At least 1 hour
Ideally overnight for best flavor

Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, add:
Flour
Salt
Black pepper
Sweet paprika
Optional chicken spices
Mix well.
Add a few tablespoons of the marinade into the flour.
Gently mix with your fingers to create small lumps (this makes the coating extra crispy).

Coat the Chicken
Take each piece of chicken from the marinade.
Coat it well in the flour mixture:
Press lightly to ensure a thick crust
Repeat for all pieces.

Fry the Chicken
Heat oil in a deep or large pan over medium heat.
Fry the chicken pieces:
A few at a time (do not overcrowd)
Turn on both sides
Cook until:
Golden brown
Crispy on the outside
Fully cooked inside

Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
