Creamy Pasta Lasagna

Ingredients
  • 1 medium-sized onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon of oil
  • 400 grams of minced pork (or beef/chicken)
  • Pasta (of your choice, boiled)
  • 3 tablespoons of tomato broth
  • 500 milliliters of chicken broth (or beef broth)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Bechamel sauce (optional)
  • Cheddar cheese (grated)
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Onion and Garlic:
      • Finely chop 1 onion and 3 garlic cloves.
      • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add the chopped onion, and a little water to soften the onion.
  2. Cook the Meat:
      • Add 400 grams of minced pork (or beef/chicken) to the pan and cook until the meat changes color.
  3. Boil the Pasta:
      • Meanwhile, boil the pasta of your choice according to the package instructions.
  4. Prepare the Meat Sauce:
      • Once the meat changes color, add 2-3 tablespoons of tomato broth and 500 milliliters of chicken broth (or beef broth).
      • Season with salt and black pepper, then stir well.
      • Add 1 sprig of thyme and 1 bay leaf to the mixture.
      • Cook for another 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the Pasta and Sauce:
      • Add the boiled pasta into the pan with the meat mixture.
      • Pour in a little water from the pasta pot.
      • Let everything simmer on medium heat for 10 minutes, or until it drains from the liquid.
  6. Add Bechamel Sauce and Cheese:
      • Pour bechamel sauce (optional but recommended for creaminess) over the pasta.
      • Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Final Steps:
      • Turn off the heat, cover the pan with a lid, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
