Ingredients
    For the Cake:
  • 50 grams butter
  • 50 grams honey
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 250 milliliters milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 400 grams flour (divided into two portions)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 50 grams walnuts (chopped)
  • 40 grams cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • For the Vanilla Glaze:
  • 1 egg white
  • 100 grams powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Instructions
  1. Prepare the Cake Batter
    1. In a well-heated pan, melt the butter.
    2. Add honey, sugar, and milk to the pan. Stir well until the sugar melts.
    3. Add egg yolks and mix everything together until smooth.
    4. Transfer the liquid mixture to a large bowl.
    5. Gradually add half of the flour and mix quickly to avoid lumps.
    6. Stir in the cinnamon, ginger, and walnuts.
    7. Sift in the cocoa powder, baking powder, and the remaining flour. Mix until smooth.
  2. Bake the Cake
    1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
    2. Pour the batter into a prepared tray and bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Make the Glaze
    1. In a bowl, whisk together egg white, powdered sugar, and vanilla essence until smooth.
  4. Finish the Cake
    1. Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
    2. Spread the vanilla glaze over the top of the cake.
