Chicken and Mushroom Stew: Easy, Saucy, and Delicious | Tocană de Pui cu Ciuperci: Simplă, Suculentă și Delicioasă

pieces of chicken breast, cut into pieces (you can use pork or beef if preferred)
Salt
Black pepper
Sweet paprika
Oregano

of mushrooms, sliced (not too thick, not too thin)

cup of tomato sauce

cooking cream

sprig of thyme

chicken broth
Instructions

Preparing the Meat:
Cut the chicken breast into pieces.
Season the meat with salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, oregano, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and lemon juice.
Mix well. You can add other spices if preferred.

Cooking the Meat:
In a well-heated pan, add a little oil and fry the meat until cooked through.

Preparing the Vegetables:
Finely chop the onion.
Slice the mushrooms (not too thick, not too thin).

Cooking the Vegetables:
When the meat is ready, add the onion to the pan and sauté for about 2 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and cook until they reduce in volume.

Making the Sauce:
Add 1 cup of tomato sauce, 100 ml of cooking cream, a sprig of thyme, and 400 ml of chicken broth to the pan.
Let everything simmer for about 10 minutes or until the sauce thickens.

Serving:
