Combine Meat and Vegetables
- Add the beef back into the pan with the vegetables.
- Add 1 minced garlic clove, 1 sprig of rosemary, and 1 bay leaf.
- Pour enough water to cover the ingredients. Season with salt.
- Let the stew simmer on low heat for about 1 hour.
4 Prepare the Rice
- In a separate pot, add 1 cup of rice and 1 ½ cups of water.
- Season with salt and add a pinch of turmeric (for color).
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and cover the pot. Let it simmer on low heat until the rice is cooked (around 15-20 minutes).
5 Finish the Stew
- Grate 2 tomatoes and add them to the stew.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of spicy paprika (optional), and let the stew cook for an additional 10 minutes.
